Winter is in full-force out here for the first time in years: lots of wind, rain and snow (wettest December in 10 years), and multiple stretches with low temperatures well below freezing.
Saturday was clear(ish) and (relatively) warm so I made the trek down to the beach for the last few minutes of light, and the hour or so that followed.
Feeling festive, I donned a strand of battery-powered lights and did my best impression of a Christmas tree.

The light of the full moon called me out from camp a few hours later; perfect photography weather.

The crashing surf and constant wind are rendered inert in this five minute exposure.

I intentionally added some motion to this 60 second exposure.

Midnight's a strange time to be taking pictures out here. . . On the edge of the earth. . .
